Acceptable use policy
What you may not do with Zefily or the servers it manages.
Last updated October 20, 2026
This policy is part of the Terms of Service. It applies to everything you do with Zefily and to the servers, sites and applications you manage through it. It also applies to your organization's members and, where you resell or provide services to clients, to them.
1. Prohibited content
You may not use the service to store, publish or distribute:
- content that is illegal where it is hosted or where it is aimed, including child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities;
- material that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights of others;
- malware, ransomware, spyware, exploit kits or phishing pages;
- content that promotes terrorism or incites violence or hatred against people because of who they are;
- personal data processed without a legal basis, including leaked or stolen data.
2. Prohibited activities
You may not use the service or the servers it manages to:
- send unsolicited bulk email or messages, or operate open relays and proxies used for abuse;
- attack, scan or probe systems you are not authorized to test, including denial-of-service attacks;
- mine cryptocurrency on resources whose terms forbid it, or in a way that harms other customers of a shared provider;
- break or try to break the security of Zefily, of other customers or of third parties, including bypassing authentication, signing or approval steps;
- interfere with the Agent's signature checks or use the Agent or the service to run actions you are not authorized to run;
- defraud others, impersonate people or organizations, or run deceptive schemes;
- resell or offer the service as your own without a white-label or reseller agreement with us;
- use the service in breach of the terms of your hosting, cloud or domain provider.
3. Security research
Good-faith security research on Zefily itself is welcome under our disclosure policy (https://zefily.com/.well-known/security.txt). Do not access other customers' data, degrade the service or disclose a finding before we have had a reasonable time to fix it.
4. Fair use of shared resources
Features that use our shared infrastructure — for example managed backup storage, build minutes, uptime checks and API calls — are subject to the limits of your plan and to fair use. We may throttle use that degrades the service for others and will tell you when we do.
5. Reporting abuse
Report abuse involving a server managed through Zefily to support [at] zefily [dot] com with as much detail as possible (URLs, IP addresses, times, headers). We forward reports to the customer concerned and, where needed, to the hosting provider.
6. Enforcement
If we believe this policy is breached, we may, depending on the severity: warn you and ask for a fix, stop jobs on the server or site concerned, suspend the organization, or end the service. Where there is serious risk to others or a legal obligation, we may act first and tell you afterwards. Zefily does not delete the content of your servers; removing infringing content remains your responsibility and that of your hosting provider.
