# Scripts

> Saved scripts you run on one or many servers, sandboxed and audited.

**Scripts** (in the main menu) are saved shell scripts your team runs on servers: installing a tool, clearing a cache, rotating a log, collecting information.

## Create a script

**New script** with a **Name**, a **Description**, the **Default user** it runs as, a **Timeout (seconds)** and the **Script**. Scripts are stored encrypted.

## Run it

Open the script, choose the servers under **Run on** and the user under **Run as user**, then **Run on N server(s)**.

- As a normal user, the script runs in a sandbox (no new privileges, private `/tmp`, a read-only system) with the timeout you set.
- As **root** or a sudo user, each server asks for your passkey approval before the script runs.

**Recent runs** shows each server's result and output. Every run is written to the audit log.
